Nursery Blog

Nursery have welcomed more new friends to join our growing Nursery Family. It has been great watching the current children welcome our new friends so warmly. They really are so kind and friendly to everyone.

We are continuing to look at our nursery rules and trying to understand making a right choice, a good idea, rather than the wrong choice, not a good idea. We have been using a thumbs up and thumbs down approach to help visually understand. This can also be useful at home and will help the children fully understand their own actions and choices.

Here are our nursery rules as a reminder, these may also help at home.

We have been looking at the season of winter this week and experiencing using our senses to explore ice, cold water and pretend snow. It has been making our fingers cold. We have read several new books all about identifying the signs of winter. We particularly enjoyed the book 'Snow’ by Anne-Kathrin Behl and the national trust. It has moving sliders, which we love, and we get to look at the animals we may see during winter.
