Emotional & Mental Health at Mansel Park

This week as part of Mental Health wellbeing week, we have been sharing positive ways to look after our minds and bodies. We have been exploring the 5 ways of well-being together with our in school Emotional & Mental Health practitioner Amy Laverton. We thank you for running our fayre this week.

Parents from across the school have been sharing ideas and strategies on supporting our children with their worries and we invite more parents in to our workshop after half term. Please do get in touch with our school office if you feel that you would benefit from this parent workshop, places available based on remaining limited spaces.

After half term, all of our children will be working with Amy to discuss worries and how we can share and manage them in a positive, resilient way. We thank parents from our last workshop for their feedback and suggestions.

This week as part of our Mental Health Fayre, we have: created a gratitude tree, practiced deep breathing, reflected on what we are thankful for and shared ideas about our favourite physical activities that help us to get our endorphins pumping to help us feel positive! The children will continue to share and work on these activities in class with each other over next half term and beyond. We thank Amy for running our fayre this week alongside our staff. It has been lovely for all children and our families across our school to get to know Amy as she begins to work with families and all our children after half term.
