Pip and Pap Parent Workshop

Year R parents came into school today to work with pupils on their reading skills!

The children read the book "The Picnic" with their parents, which focuses on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /h/ /b/ /f/ /ff/ /l/ /ll/ and /ss/.

Children read words such as "basket," "bun", "crisps", "blanket", "fan" and "huffs" to their parents as part of the story. 

They then made their own 'picnic' together!

We run parent and child workshops every other week at Mansel Park, in years R-2. Please ask your child's class teacher or the school office for more details.
