Magazine Swap Shop:

Our Reading Ambassadors need your help! After Half Term, they will be running a 'Magazine Swap Shop' in the school library, as part of our celebrations for Non Fiction November!

This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to discover new interests, share their favourite non-

fiction magazines, and take home something new to read. Pupils are invited to bring in as many old non-fiction magazines from home as they can, to share at the Swap Shop!

They can be about any subject: science, nature, history, technology, fashion, crafts,
cooking, sports, or any other topic they enjoy – but please ensure they are suitable
for our whole primary school audience (ages 4-11.)

Our pupil Reading Ambassadors will then display them in the library – for fellow
pupils to borrow to read in lunchtimes and break times, as part of their role to
promote peer reading and reading for pleasure!

We kindly ask that all magazines be in good condition and appropriate for primary
pupils. This event is a fun way for pupils to engage with non-fiction in a new and
exciting way. Please bring in your magazines on the first day back after half term –
Monday 4th November.

At all of our federation schools, our Reading Ambassadors will also be reviewing
sample children’s newspapers and magazines as part of their role, before working
together to make a decision as to which we will subscribe to across the partnership.
