Year 6 Children Visit Their Local Library: A Day of Discovery and Learning

There’s something truly magical about stepping into a library and now the children are all aware of how to access their local one, a world of books and adventure awaits. Recently, our Year 6 children visited Lordshill Library. We spoke to the librarian who gave them a tour of the different sections, from fiction to non-fiction, she showed us the computing area as well where to take books out or save them for later. They were fascinated by the variety of books available and eagerly browsed the shelves to find stories that sparked their interest. Beyond books, the visit helped the children understand the library as a valuable community resource—a place not only for reading but also for learning, researching, and a quiet place to be with friends

The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and are excited to take out more books and get their own library card.
