Year 2 Pip and Pap Workshop:

Year 2 parents and pupils enjoyed their Pip and Pap Workshop together, reading the Green Phase story "The Hockey Match" together.

They recapped previously met letter-sound correspondences, such as /wh/, /ph/, /oe/, /ew/, /ey/ and /au/, to read words such as "hockey", "foes," "whizzes"" and "applaud" as part of the story.

Pupils and parents answered questions about what they had read, focusing on retrieval, inference and sequencing skills, before making their own artwork to represent the match!
