"We have been having great fun exploring the festival of Diwali and the theme fireworks across two weeks. 

We celebrated Diwali by creating Mehndi hands using a variety of writing materials and media, as well as exploring the story of Rama and Sita. We even created our own Diwali dance using the dancing scarves. We moved up and down, forward and backwards and even had a move called whoosh across the rainbow.

For our firework exploration we have been exploring the noises fireworks make by continuing the sentence stem "1, 2, 3 fireworks go... weeeee, whoosh, crackle, BANG!, POP!" 

We have created many firework pictures using a variety of media and materials. We have used wheeled vehicles through paint in the garden, cotton buds and brightly coloured paints on black paper as well as much more.'
