Junior Travel Ambassadors:

Junior Travel Ambassadors - Making a positive impact on our local community!

Mansel Park has made great strides in promoting safe travel: last week, we celebrated the appointment of our eight new Junior Travel Ambassadors (JTAs), who are taking the lead in promoting safe and active travel. You may have already noticed them conducting travel counts at our school gates, tracking how everyone is getting to school and helping to promote active travel. This initiative will continue throughout the year, so be sure to keep an eye out for our JTAs at the gates! They will be out there this coming Thursday (17/10/24) so make sure you try your best to walk or wheel your way to school.

Last Thursday (10/10/24), we had a fantastic assembly led by Julliete from Living Streets to introduce us to the Walk to School Challenge (WOW). We will log how we travelled to school daily during this initiative. Children can even earn badges for walking, scooting, wheeling, doing a park and stride or cycling. This is an excellent way to encourage active travel and enhance safety on the roads around Mansel Park.
