Parent Workshop Year 2:

Year 2 parents and pupils enjoyed reading Pip and Pap Green Phase Phonics Book 9, "A New Pal" together!

They recapped the grapheme phoneme correspondences:

au- in words such as 'saunter'

ph- in words such as 'alphabet'

ey- in words such as 'hockey'

oe- in words such as 'tiptoes'

wh- in words such as 'whoop'

ew- in words such as 'phew'

They then read the story together before making beautiful 'friendship flowers' to give to a 'pal' of their own, and talked about how they would look after someone new in their class.
