Lights! Camera! Action!

Welcome to the Mansel Musical!

Today we performed our long awaited school play. From endless days rehearsing lines and scenes to singing songs at the top of our lungs everywhere we went, we are so proud of the work we have accomplished. We were able to show our resilience and determination to power through and try something new.

The experience started way back in May where we auditioned for our roles and got given our parts, we we’re all very excited. In week 1 of rehearsals we learned all of the songs our favourites being ‘School Trip Boogie’ and ‘Sats Blues’. As the weeks went on we started practising our lines in groups in our classrooms and moved on to the stage! In the final weeks leading up to the performance we set up the lights, where our spots were and of course our smiles. Our backstage crew were also busy practising set movements, creating props and assisting with our audience participation.

With lots of costume and set changes and with so much more to remember, we are so proud to have been able to leave such a legacy at Mansel Park. We all now has aspirations to be movie stars, directors, producers or even curtain assistants. Where will our futures take us next.
