The bake sale

“Let’s face it, a nice creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people; it does for me” – Audrey Hepburn

We are continuously inspired by significant women and our bake sale fits this theme. This year, our bake sale was a joyful place to be with children beaming ear to ear as they scoffed the delicious cakes.

Our bake sale was another huge success this week with hundreds of our families supporting our children through your cake donations and purchases. We have raised a whopping £310!

Thank you for your support with this event, we couldn’t do it without you and it certainly make us proud to be a part of this community.

Thanks to your generosity, we are going to put this money into a support fund for our children. This will enable us to support our children in having wider experiences which will give them memories and valuable life skills.

This year, we decided to make the bake sale a competition between our house teams. This was judged in terms of donations and most cakes sold. Here are the results:

1st place – Determination

2nd place – Positivity

3rd place – Perseverance and Resilience

To get in the baking spirit, our teachers also had a bake off event and their efforts certainly did not disappoint our judges – Mr Lodge, Miss Pickersgill and Miss Draper. However, one teacher won with a unanimous vote for her truly delicious chocolate cake - Miss Hoile!

We hope you enjoyed the bake sale as much as we did and we look forward to the next one later in the year.

Thank you!
