House Competition Update

This half term, our academic House Competition will be a 'Reading Quiz!'

Pupils will work in their house teams during Weeks 1-4, recapping, learning about and discussing key texts that are part of our school curriculum, across all year groups!

Within Week 5, we will host an in school final, with a quiz to see how much our pupils have learned and retained about our school storybooks, titles, characters, plots and texts!

In Week 6, selected children from Years 5/6 will also take part in a grand 'Partnership Final' at Mansel Park! Pupils at Holy Family, Sinclair, OLSJ, Bitterne Park and Mansel Park will compete in a Reading Quiz together, to find the ultimate school reading champions! Which school will be victorious?

Additionally, pupils from across our partnership schools will also be entered into the "National Literacy Championships," an initiative run by the National Literacy Trust. They will partake in the regional South East heats in March - watch this space for more details!
