Year 1 - Fire service visit

Year 1 had a great time last week when the fire service came to visit! We learnt all about how to stay safe and what to do in an emergency. The children loved learning all about fire engines and all the equipment they firefighters use. Some of the children were lucky enough to try on the equipment! We all learnt special phrases, which we can remember to keep safe; an example of this is 'Matches and lighters never touch, they can hurt you very much.' Our challenge now is to learn our home address. Learning our address is important in case an emergency ever happens at home!
